THEORY OF “PEACEFUL RISE / DEVELOPMENT OF CHINA” IN THE POLITICAL AND SCIENTIFIC DISCOURSE

Abstract
The article analyzes the discussion of politicians and scientists on the theory of “peaceful rise / development of China”, which began to emerge from the mid-1990s in order to increase the international reputation of the country in the implementation of the “Reform & Opening up” policy. It presents different ideas, concepts and opinions that reflect the formation of the theory of “peaceful rise / development of China” and the intellectuals’ reaction to it, as well as it analyzes the general speech acts and relevant regulations of the Chinese political discourse, and especially its perception of the world.
