ПОЛІТИЧНА ВЕСТЕРНІЗАЦІЯ ІНДУСЬКИХ ОСВІЧЕНИХ КІЛ ПІВНІЧНОЇ ІНДІЇ (1858–1921 РР.)

Анотація
Політичною вестернізацією можна вважати процес інституційного оформлення парламентської системи в Індії, основи якої були закладені у 2-й пол. ХІХ – на початку ХХ ст. Один з її ключових елементів – ідея репрезентативності влади найбільше вплинула на особливості політичної вестернізації Північної Індії з 2-ї пол. ХІХ ст. У Північно-Західних провінціях та Пенджабі індусько-мусульманські протиріччя були найгострішими, тому представництво у владі набуло тут яскраво вираженого релігійного характеру. Поетапну політизацію індуської общини, а також поєднання реформістської діяльності із традиційною спрямованістю політичних організацій, створених вестернізованими індуськими колами, можна вважати особливістю впровадження західних політичних моделей на індійському ґрунті. Крім того, в Північній Індії політична активність освічених індійців відбувалася у двох напрямках: реформістському, який репрезентував Ар’я самадж, та квазіреформістському, втіленням якого була організація Гінду Махасабха.
