Abstract

The article studies the process of forming of the Tunisian Arabic poetry in the 20th–21st centuries. Because of comparing the Arabic and European literary critics, the research underlines the need of further studying of the local Arabic poets’ heritage at the common Maghrebi background. According to the importance of Tunisian literature in the world context, the determination of local literature as “minor” is refuted.
