ВНУТРІШНЬОПОЛІТИЧНА БОРОТЬБА В ЦАРСТВІ АРШАКІДІВ І СХІДНА ПОЛІТИКА РИМУ (ЕПОХА АВГУСТА І ТІБЕРІЯ)

Анотація
Стаття присвячена аналізові внутрішньополітичних конфліктів у Парфянському царстві Аршакідів у контексті східної політики Римської імперії в епоху правління ранніх представників династії Юліїв-Клавдіїв. Встановлено, що характер конфліктів був викликаний династичною боротьбою та різницею в розвитку східних та західних сатрапій держави Аршакідів. Найбільш показовим є правління Фраата IV та Артабана ІІІ, які зіштовхнулися з цілою низкою серйозних внутрішньополітичних труднощів, що були використані римлянами для втручання у справи Парфії. Починаючи від часів Августа, майже постійні внутрішньополітичні конфлікти у Парфії не лише ставали причиною певної пасивності політики парфян, а й зумовлювали перебування нащадків царського роду в Римі в якості заручників, де римляни часто використовували їх для реалізації своїх політичних завдань. Встановлено, що Август із обережністю сприймав намісників провінцій і їх діяльність стала важливою лише за часів Тіберія. Тенденції, які ми спостерігаємо в даний період, зберігалися й надалі й, таким чином, їх аналіз є для нас ключовим не тільки в контексті розуміння політичного розвитку Парфії, а й у контексті римо-парфянських взаємин і історії Близького Сходу в перші століття нової ери.
