Анотація

У досліджені розглядається розвиток католицької місіонерської діяльності в імперії монголів у ХІІІ–XIV сторіччях, яка була частиною конфесійної мозаїки Великої Монгольської імперії. Католицтво було одною з конфесій, які змагалися за домінування у наверненні монголів. Стаття враховує новітні досягнення західних та російських досліджень, увага в ній сфокусована на центральних аргументах, що стосуються як інформації про масштаби поширення католицького апостолату на Сході, так і методів проповідування Євангелія серед кочівників.
