Abstract

Philosophical, cultural, political symbolism of the Nepalese flag in historical context is being analysed in the article. Special attention is paid to the meaning of the main elements of the flag & their links with ancient traditions and religion of the Nepalese, as well as with their political history. Author also concerns the question of changing of the national flag due to recent political events in Nepal.
