Abstract
The article deals with particularities of the metaphorical conceptualization of the basic human emotion of fear in the Persian language on the basis of lexical and phraseological units with somatic component. Some universal and ethno-specific features of somatic comprehension of this emotion by the Persian lingual consciousness have been determined.
