Анотація

Американський дослідник A. Meadows нещодавно цілком слушно відніс інкорпорацію Карії, Лікії та Памфілії до складу держави Птолемеїв на 282 рік до Р. Х. При цьому він вважає, що тодішній александрійський володар, Птолемей ІІ, анексував зазначені малоазійські області, котрі на той момент належали Лісімаху, скориставшись скрутним становищем останнього, викликаним агресією з боку Селевка Нікатора. Це припущення видається мені нелогічним. На мій погляд, александрійський володар тимчасово увів війська до Карії, Лікії та Памфілії на прохання свого родича, Лісімаха, щоб вберегти їх від зазіхань з боку свого потенційного ворога, Селевка. Проте подальший розвиток подій дозволив Птолемеєві залишити ці області у складі власної держави.
