Abstract

The article deals with the poetical heritage of Moufdi Zakariya, outstanding Algerian poet, politician and public figure of the second part of the XXth century. The study is based in particular on the analysis of the poet’s role during the days of the national liberation struggle in Algeria (1945–1962) and author’s translations of some fragments of Zakariya’s poems.
